Brief Description
Now more and more places are protected by gas fire suppression systems, to ensure fire successfully, it requires the protection zone to remain closed when the extinguishing agent of the gas extinguishing system is released, at the same time, needs to guarantee the integrity of doors, windows, and structures.
The pressure relief damper which we produce has another name “pressure relief outlet device”, it has two styles, one is for electric operation and another for mechanical operation.
It is installed on the wall in the protection zone, it is normally closed; when or after the gas suppression system begins to act, the pressure relief damper will be open automatically under a certain pressure caused by gas released, to keep the protection area safe; and when the pressure drops to a certain value, the valve also will close automatically.
It can ensure the tightness of the protection area, meet the demand from fire suppression, and as well to ensure that the protection area is safe.

- Model Covering Area: 0.12 square meters, 0.25 square meters, and 0.35(0.36) square meters.

Working Principle of Pressure Relief Damper
Its working principle is:
- When a fire occurs, the fire extinguishing system begins to act and release the suppression agent, and the pressure inside the protection zone starts to rise. When the pressure rises to a set valve, the pressure relief mechanism will rapidly transfer the shutter from closed status to open status, to release the pressure in the protection area and to protect the structure.
- When the pressure drops under a set valve, the pressure relief mechanism reset, and the shutter closed.
Installation
Installation and Construction are as follows:
- First, choose the right model, according to ‘design specifications for fire extinguishing systems’. we can calculate the area of the pressure relief valve that needs to be set in the protection area, and as per the area, we can know how to choose one more several valves from different models.
- Second, to install it on the wall, it should be installed on the exterior wall, and if for hfc-227ea fire suppression system, according to China gas suppression standard GB50370-2004, it should be set on the wall location of 2/3 high from the ground.
Use mounting screws and tools to install it on the wall.

Attention
- Before installation please read our “Installation Manual for Gas Pressure Relief Valve” carefully, strictly to install, to inspect, and to maintain as per our guide.
- Workers should be careful when carrying out installation work so as not to damage the surface of the pressure relief damper, and especially not to damage the motorized pressure relief valve.
- Never install it upside down, otherwise, it will not work.
- During the installation process, please strengthen the protection of the valve’s panel.
- Do not open the device privately to adjust the internal components.
- After completing the installation work, we should test the motorized pressure relief valves by switching on the power supply; for mechanical devices (working without a power supply), we should test and see if their valve components are working properly.
- After installation, every year we should inspect it, to ensure its reliability.
After-Sales Service
This product comes with a 1-year warranty time in case of non-manipulative conditions.
Within the warranty time, if have a quality default and quality problem, we will replace it for free.
Packing
The main material of this product is made of high-quality steel, coated with white or silver-white paint, and some of them are equipped with electric devices inside.
Therefore, in packing, we use a strong 5-layer brown carton box with polyfoam, so the packing is very suitable for export. The packaging method is the standard export packaging form.
And as per the client’s requirement, we can add a fumigation wooden case as additional packing, to ensure the security of cargo.
Shipping
- Shipping time is about 10 days after finishing the production process.
- Choosing the right international logistics method and logistics company.
- For international shipments, you can choose between air, sea, or courier. because by air and by express are expensive, so we strongly suggest making the cargo by sea if you place the order.
REMARK: A pressure relief damper (pressure relief opening) normally works together with Fire Suppression Systems by installing the 2/3 height from the ground lever at the site (protection zone).
